He was the acoustic/electric guitar player for Chris Dury's The Liberty Tree, which made it's debut in London's West-End in the summer of 2015. He is widely known for his reliability and punctuality, and his ability to adapt to a variety of situations.

Samuel began as a self taught acoustic guitar player at the age of 14. At age 15, he began his studies under Bristol based guitar tutor Robert Cook. During his tutelage, Samuel began to play the electric guitar, and studied the basics of music theory. It was also at this time that Samuel joined his secondary school orchestra.

Aged 16, Samuel joined the Sir Bernard Lovell School's Classic Rock ensemble, playing lead guitar in songs such as Kashmir, Crazy Little Thing Called Love and We Are The Champions. Samuel began to play musicals at the school, at age 18 when he played electric guitar in the amateur production of Andrew Lloyd Webbers Cats. Samuel has performed in every production the school has produced since, and these include Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita, and in early 2016 he performed in the school's production of We Will Rock You. In between his performances in these shows, Samuel achieved his grade 8 in electric guitar, and has more recently become an accredited member of the Registry of Guitar Tutors.
